In 1978, at the age of 23, I was diagnosed with disc degenerative disease – it was more than 30 years that I experienced chronic pain, consulted various surgeons and MD’s and tried multiple therapeutic treatments, none of which helped; I couldn’t stand for more than 15 minutes at a time, and was limited in basic daily activities.
