What is Class IV Summus Laser Therapy?
Class IV Laser is the most powerful level of laser therapy, also known as photobiomodulation, providing deep-penetrating healing available today. Back Clinics of Canada is the first in Canada to offer Class IV Summus Laser, designed to reduce pain and inflammation, and accelerate healing of damaged soft tissue. The laser provides a therapeutic effect and promotes and supports healing of the spinal discs from the inside out.

How it works
Delivered as a critical element in the three-step signature system – High-Performance Healing System™ – the Class IV Summus Laser therapy is performed after the spinal decompression and icing procedure. Before each session, Dr. Nusbaum identifies the precise location of the application of the laser as well as the frequency and duration of the laser treatment, customized to the needs of each patient. A trained technician then focuses the laser therapy on the specific spinal discs that require care, undergoing the procedure for up to 10 minutes. The light from the laser triggers a chain of healing events that increases cellular metabolism and, as a result, produces rapid pain relief, improved circulation, and reduced inflammation.
