I was looking for any type of help for my back and neck pain. I have been suffering since 1967. I was injured in the Canadian Army and I kept going to doctors to get help and all they did was write me prescriptions for pills and the pain kept getting worse. I kept going back to doctors and it got to the point where I could no longer work.

I saw a doctor in Toronto in a walk in clinic and they did a whole battery of tests and they told me that I was at the end stages of psorosis of the liver and that I needed to go back to Timmins and see an internist who specializes in the liver. He told me to go home and get my affairs in order as I was going to die (1994). Needless to say I wasn’t happy with that news. I then went on to have a liver transplant.

The medication that I took for my back pain destroyed my liver and damaged my kidneys. The amount of pills ruined my immune system for the rest of my life.

Fast forward to 2015, I found the Back Clinics of Canada online and I came to see Dr. Nusbaum and he diagnosed me with degenerative disc disease and bulging discs. I travelled all the way from Timmins for his care and stayed in a hotel for five weeks.

I went through the whole treatment program and my back is better now than it has been in forty years. I hurt my neck at the same time as my back and received the treatment program for both areas.

I actually received some value of life back which I haven’t had in years. All I had was pain. I am so grateful. I found the care to be unbelievable and everybody was so great, helpful, friendly and courteous.

I have just finished the program and I am so excited to get back home to show my friends and family the difference. Thank you to Back Clinics of Canada for giving me my life back.
